Privacy & safety

duggu.uk is a hobby project made by a kid, for kids. Here’s exactly what happens with your information. (Short version: almost nothing.)

No ads. No accounts. No tracking. No cookies. Nobody can message anyone else here, and every idea is read by a person before anyone else can see it.

What we collect

Only what you type into the Idea Board form:

  • the kind of idea, its title and its description,
  • a nickname, if you choose to give one (we ask everyone to make one up), and
  • the time it was sent.

We never ask for real names, email addresses, ages, schools or locations. The form blocks links, email addresses, phone numbers and social media usernames, so they can’t be shared by mistake.

Who sees it

Every idea goes into a private waiting list. Duggu, with a grown-up’s help, reads each one. Only approved ideas are shown on the board. Ideas that aren’t approved are deleted, not kept. Private notes to Duggu are never shown publicly.

What we don’t collect

  • No cookies, analytics or tracking of any kind.
  • No adverts, and no third-party scripts, fonts or widgets. Everything loads from duggu.uk itself.
  • No accounts, passwords or profiles.

Stored on your own device

Your browser remembers a few things on your device only, such as your Orbit settings and best score, and which ideas you’ve already starred. This never leaves your device, and you can clear it any time by clearing your browser’s site data.

Where the site lives

duggu.uk is hosted by Cloudflare. Ideas are stored in a Cloudflare database. Like every website host, Cloudflare handles visitors’ internet (IP) addresses to deliver pages and to stop spam (for example, by limiting how many ideas can be sent in a minute). duggu.uk doesn’t save IP addresses.

Want an idea taken down?

Send a private note to Duggu on the Idea Board saying which idea (its title is enough). Private notes are never shown publicly, and we’ll remove it.

For parents and teachers

duggu.uk was built to follow the spirit of the UK’s Age Appropriate Design Code: collect as little as possible, keep everything private by default, and have no nudges, ads or social features that put kids at risk. If anything here worries you, please tell us with a private note and we’ll sort it out.
